The Rottermond Jewelers Relationship with the Make-A-Wish Foundation

In October, Rottermond Jewelers attended the Make-A-Wish Gala. This falls in line with our policy of community service that we’ve been performing for 35 years. Since 2013, we’ve been able to sponsor MAW events that have raised over $67,000. This year, we donated a package of Shinola products to the charity auction at the event. The package included a Shinola leather handbag, a men’s backpack, and two Guardian watches. The package, we’re pleased to announce, raised over $7,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. However, Rottermond Jewelers also donated another $2,500 to the package to aid the charity event’s goals.

We donated $1,000 to Make-A-Wish to receive a print made by one of the children given their wish by the Make-A-Wish Foundation, which will play a part in our Christmas event. On December 5th, Rottermond Jewelers will be decorating our showrooms, and providing snacks and beverages to visitors. A combination of cookies and hard holiday drinks makes the event ideal for children and adults alike! Plus, Rottermond Jewelers will be bringing in carolers to serenade visitors in the store and on the sidewalk out front—an exceptional pairing with the carriage rides to be offered that evening.

For those looking to offer a lovely stocking-stuffer to the Make-A-Wish Foundation cause, the organization will be invited as a guest of honor at the Christmas event. Representatives of Make-A-Wish will be given the floor to spread the good word about their 39-year-old group, and we’ll be opening up the store to donations.

A donation of any amount to Make-A-Wish during the event will add that person’s name to our special drawing for the aforementioned Make-A-Wish print. Those who are interested in receiving an amazing piece of art created by one of the charity’s deserving children are encouraged to stop by our showroom on the 5th of December to enjoy the day, meet with representatives from Make-A-Wish, and give to their worthwhile cause. On December 27th, we will be holding our drawing for the print. It’s a good excuse to circle the date on your calendar and keep those wonderful Christmas feelings going all through the New Year!
