Our policy was last updated on 1st day of October 2009.
We want you to know how we handle the information you send
us via the internet.
Our policy is your guarantee that any personal information
given to Rottermond will remain private. Any personal
information gathered will not be sold to any third party
for any reason. Rottermond only collects personal
information from customers in order to process billing and
fulfill orders. We are committed to keeping your personal information
private.
POLICY CHANGES
Rottermond will occasionally update its privacy statement
to reflect changes in procedures. When Rottermond
posts a change, the date reflected on the policy will change.
Rottermond may request personal information to:
- Process an order.
- Verify your identity for payment authorization.
- Contact you regarding your order.
- Ship your order to you.
- Allow you to apply for financing or insurance.
- Send you news from Rottermond that may you request.
- Enter you in a contest, if you request.
Your personal information will be used only for processing
your order with your credit card company and for expediting
shipment of your order with an appropriate carrier. Your
name, address or e-mail will not be sold to any mailing
list firms.

under 18 years of age. We ask that children not submit
information to us without the clear consent of a parent or guardian.

If required by law, court order, or in the good faith belief
that disclosure is advisable, we may disclose your information.
SHIPPING POLICIES
Your order will be shipped to you fully insured. We urge all
customers to inspect your packages for damage or tampering
before signing for a carrier, acknowledging receipt.
All Links of London purchases that are mailed USPS will be shipped FREE.
COMPLIMENTARY

Rottermond will ship your order either by U.S. Postal
Service (“USPS”) Insured or Registered Mail for free, depending on the
value of your jewelry item (please refer to delivery chart).
Most orders ship out from Rottermond within two to
four business days. Then, depending on the value of your package,
it will be shipped out via Insured or Registered Mail. In the event that your order cannot be shipped, you will
be contacted immediately by e-mail and informed of the delay.
Your credit card will be charged when the merchandise is shipped.
Rottermond delivers orders to the United States only
due to import and export regulations and taxes.
If you wish to receive faster delivery, please refer to the
following delivery rate chart which specifies the additional
costs to you:

Jewelry orders over $5,000 will be shipped overnight or Saturday
delivery
free of charge. For orders under $125 shipping and handling
is $10 for Registered
Mail. For orders under $125 that are requested to be shipped
overnight, second day or Saturday delivery, please contact
our service representative to obtain
the additional fees.
We will accept orders until approximately 1:00 p.m. on any
business day and will ship them within two to four days of
when payment has cleared.
If your order is shipped USPS Registered or Insured Mail:
- Delivery usually occurs three to four
business days (Monday through Friday) after shipping from
Rottermond.
- Rottermond will ship only to a street address; no
post office box, APO, or FPO addresses are acceptable.
- No signature is required upon delivery.
Please contact a customer service representative for product
availability if you choose overnight, two-day shipping,
or Saturday delivery.
TRACKING
YOUR
ORDER
Once your order has been shipped, you will receive an e-mail
notification confirming shipment date and your tracking number.
You can then track your order at all times until it reaches
you. Connect to USPS at www.usps.com for
shipment tracking.Rottermond reserves the right to cancel all orders that appear suspect
or fraudulent. All fraudulent transactions will be reported to the appropriate
authorities.
ITEM AVAILABILITY
Your order may include items with different availability dates.
Orders are usually shipped out once the entire order is complete.
If a particular
item
is backordered, a customer service representative will contact you.
SHIPPING
TO AN ALTERNATE ADDRESS
If you do not expect to be home to sign for a shipment, you can
contact your credit card or financing company and request that an alternate
shipping
address be added to your customer record.
GIFT PACKAGING
When you order jewelry valued at $200 or more, it will arrive
in a leather box or leather gift bag tucked inside a Rottermond gift box. As a
finishing touch, we will include a free gift card. All jewelry items valued
under $200 will arrive in a Rottermond gift box.
All Links of London jewelry will be packaged in authentic Links of London boxes.
To protect your jewelry against theft or damage, read about insurance

REFUNDS AND RETURN
POLICIES
If your jewelry selections do not meet your expectations, we are pleased
to offer a 14 day return policy. To return or exchange an item, simply follow these steps:
- Call Rottermond customer service at 248.685.115 ext. 16
to obtain a return authorization (“RA”) number.
- Include
all the original packing materials with your shipment.
- Send the package by registered or insured mail in a plain box (include diamond certificate,
if appropriate).
Insure the
package
for
the full value of the invoice, plus shipping charges.
Rottermond is not
responsible for items lost or damaged during shipping.
We do not insure packages on returns. Packages returned without an RA number marked
on the outside will be refused.
- Clearly print your name, address and RA number
on the outside of the package, and mail the package
to:

Please be careful not to write Rottermond
Jewelry, diamonds, or the value of the enclosed items on
the outside of the package, as this invites
possible theft.
CONDITIONS OF RETURNS
- An item may be returned 14 days following the
date shipped from Rottermond.
- The RA number must be marked on the outside
of the package.
- Item must be returned in the same condition
as sent. Damaged items cannot be accepted and will be returned without
a refund.
- The original Rottermond
tag must still be on the item in order for refunds to be processed;
otherwise,
no refund or exchange will be accepted. Merchandise
will
be returned to you.
- If the item is a diamond, the diamond certificate
for that diamond must be returned as well. If the original
certificate is not included, the cost of replacing the certificate
will be charged against the refund/exchange.
- If the item is a gift and the recipient chooses to
return it, they must follow the same procedure of obtaining
an RA and shipping procedures, as mentioned above.
- Custom work, personalized items, and engraved
items cannot be refunded unless there is an error made by Rottermond.
- Shipping and insurance charges are refunded
if the return is a result of an error made by Rottermond.
RETURN TIME
All requests for refunds/exchanges will be
processed after our gemologist inspects and verifies the condition
of
the return.
Returns take five to seven business days
to process upon receipt of an item. If you have any questions
about return procedures,
please call 248.685.1150 and they will
be happy to assist you. All procedures must be followed, with no exceptions.
LOOSE DIAMONDS
All loose diamonds purchased from Rottermond will
be sent free of charge. Please call a customer service representative
to let us know that we should be expecting your diamond. We
will pay for the shipping and insurance to mail your diamond
back to you. Please follow the same shipping procedure as outlined
under Shipping Policy, above.
PAYMENTS ACCEPTED
- Certified bank checks, money orders, and personal
checks are accepted. All jewelry will be shipped after
funds have cleared
for personal checks, which generally
takes between five and seven business days.
- Make all checks payable to Rottermond
and send payments to:

- Indicate your purchase order number on your
check.
- We accept payment by all major credit cards,
including VISA, MasterCard, Discover, and American
Express through PayPal.com, our online partner
- Payments made by credit card will not be entitled
to our 2% cash discount. Arranging payment
through PayPal is fast and safe.
- Bank wires receive a 2% discount.
- We accept debit cards, subject to our Debit Card
Policy, outlined below.
DEBIT CARD POLICY
If the price of your order exceeds the daily charge limit
on your debit card, we will notify you, as this will
prevent us
from processing your order. What you can then do:
- Continue your order by processing a bank wire transfer
- Continue by providing a credit card.
- Contact your bank and request an
increase in the daily limit.
PRODUCT AVAILABILITY AND PRICING
If an item is on backorder, our representative will contact
you by e-mail within 24 hours of receiving your order. If
you cannot or do not want to wait for the backorder, our
representative will personally help you find another item.
Infrequently, data may be inaccurately displayed on our website
due to system error. Every attempt is made
to avoid these errors, yet they may occur from time to time.
We reserve the right
to correct an error when one does occur. We
do not honor inaccurate or erroneous prices. Our prices can
change without notice.

PAL
To avoid risks of accepting credit cards, yet still allow customers
the freedom to make their purchases by credit card, we accept
major credit cards through PayPal.

ROTTERMOND GIFT CARD REDEMPTION POLICY
Rottermond Gift Cards (red lettering) are purchased by clients. This card is the same-as-cash and can be purchased or used for any item, no exclusions, at either of our locations in Brighton or Milford. This gift card may be in any denomination selected to purchase. Card is invalid only after 12 consecutive months of no activity.
Rottermond Promotional Gift Cards (silver lettering) such as the ones given out for Birthday Bonus, Welcome Letters, Referrals and as Prizes may be used to purchase everything in both our stores with the exceptions: the Rottermnd Case, the Rottermond Diamond Case, and the Rottermond Loose Diamond Search section of our website. The promotional Gift Cards expire 90 days from the hand written Issue Date on the back of the card and have no cash value.
